A Conversation with Stephen Sills at Christie’s New York
Some photos from last Sunday’s very successful brunch discussion at Christie’s New York with Stephen about decorating with art and the sale, ‘Living with Art’, which included lots from a private collection in the Mid-West with interiors designed by Stephen.
Dear Mr. Sills,
As a longtime admirer of your exquisite and always inspiring work, I was beyond thrilled to have acquired the set of four Empire mahogany fauteuils, which are so handsome and will make a beautiful addition to my own home.
I wondered if you wouldn’t mind providing me with some additional information on the provenance of the chairs and where you acquired them? Its always interesting to hear more about the history of an antique.
I was a bit saddened to see one of your most significant projects be scattered to the winds but hopefully all of the pieces will continue to be treasured by others. I know my new chairs will be here.
